I was thinking today about how many awesome people have taken time to podfic, and how I have never made a good list of people who've spent time podficcing my fic specifically, in all of its ridiculousness. I love that we can have fandom at all times and in many different formats and that we can collaborate to make things despite vast differences in location in time and space.

So here's a list, in no particular order! I've immensely enjoyed all of these, and have learned a lot from them about making podfic myself. And look at all the pretty coverart!! I heart all of your faces.

Sew your fortunes on a string, read by colls: It's Vegas week and despite everything, Dean's got his money on Sam showing up.

Learn to say the same thing, read by fantamae: As the purpose of this weekend is to get to know one another, please wear your name tag at all times. Sam and Dean end up at a single's retreat in the mountains and run into old friends.

So life has been stupid-busy lately, and that is just not on. I have been struggling to work on my big bang late at night but always fall asleep instead of getting more than a couple paragraphs down. Is it just me, or is working kiiiind of like being paid not to do things you really want to do? It is very tragic. But I have next week off! So I am going to write err day, all day. Please join me.

Podfic has continued to be the best thing in the world while doing mindless data entry at my new job. I give you: my second rec list! In listening to hours of podfic, I've come across all kinds of cool effects, like readers making their voices more distant when someone's on the phone, and Heat of the Moment playing after deaths in the Mystery Spot one.

First, a note: The lovely fishpatrol told me to download Astro File Manager so I could open zip files on my phone (as well as my Google Drive, Drop Box, and other things!) I absolutely love the app and highly recommend it, so she is pretty much the savior of my life this week, thanks for that. And now, on to the podfic!

So, I love this story. It's set in s7 and has to do with Sam and Dean and good intentions gone wrong. I was lucky enough to have a chance to record it for de_nugis for the AO3 Charity Multimedia Auction. After which I lost my headset, and then finally bought a replacement one three months later, then rerecorded it. Which brings us to today!
